Service and Outreach
I value service and outreach that strengthen access, belonging, and community in mathematics and data science. Across my career, I have contributed to initiatives that create supportive spaces for students and scholars at different stages, with particular attention to mentoring, community building, and opportunities for participation.
As a student, I served as president of both the Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM) and SIAM student chapters and helped organize programs designed to encourage young students to pursue mathematics. These experiences reinforced how powerful it can be to connect students to role models, collaborative learning, and a welcoming mathematical community.
During my postdoctoral work, I contributed to community-building efforts that supported women in data science and mathematics, including workshops and events focused on strengthening professional networks and collaboration. More recently, I have co-organized programs that provided theoretical training in modern topics to diverse undergraduate audiences.
My service is guided by a consistent goal: expanding access, strengthening community, and supporting diverse participation in the mathematical sciences.
